Life and career

Owen self-published the black-and-white fantasy series Starchild under his Taliesin Press imprint in the 1990s. Follwing lawsuits claiming fraud by investors in Taliesin Press, Owen then incorporated with his brother, Jeremy, and changed his self publishing name to Coppervale Press for Starchild: Crossroads, under financial strain from years of legal battles, Owen went to Image Comics for the start of Starchild: Mythopolis. After the turn of the century Owen has tried to reinvented himself as a novelist as his comic book endeavors met with little enthusiasm. Creating a fantasy series titled Mythworld that has again met with little success. In 2003 Coppervale Press, under the helm of Jeremy Owen, relaunched two newsstand style magazines, the fine arts-oriented International Studio and the fiction periodical Argosy, these have also failed to inspire new investors and Owen has returned to working for Image Comics as an illustrator.

In 2006 Owen published Here, There Be Dragons, the first book in The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series.[1] The second book, The Search for the Red Dragon, was released in early 2008, closely followed by the third novel, The Indigo King in Fall of 2008. The fourth novel in this series, entitled The Shadow Dragons, was released on October 27, 2009. The fifth novel, The Dragon's Apprentice, was released on October 19, 2010.

Owen currently lives with his mother, Sharon, in Taylor Arizona with his wife and children.
